Dr Nicholas Teo is a doctor with advanced training in venous and lymphatic medicine and is the founder of Better Veins Clinic. He provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with varicose veins, chronic venous disease, leg swelling, lymphoedema and lipedema, with a focus on identifying and treating the underlying causes of symptoms.

Dr Teo graduated from the University of Queensland and gained broad clinical experience working in hospitals across Australia. During his medical training, he also completed clinical rotations in Canada, gaining exposure to international healthcare systems and multidisciplinary models of patient care. His background in acute medicine, cardiac care and diagnostic ultrasound supports his careful, methodical approach to assessing venous disease and chronic lower limb swelling.

He has completed Advanced Training through the Australasian College of Phlebology in modern, minimally invasive vein treatments, including endovenous ablation and ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy. Dr Teo focuses on providing safe, non-surgical treatment options wherever appropriate, helping patients improve symptoms such as heaviness, discomfort, skin changes and swelling associated with venous disease.

Dr Teo also has a strong clinical interest in lymphatic disorders, chronic leg swelling and lipoedema. He has been involved in the multidisciplinary management of lipoedema and lymphatic conditions and provides detailed medical assessment, coordinates investigations and works closely with experienced lymphatic therapists and allied health providers to support long-term management and preventative care.
